The Biggest Loser

I’ll admit it, I really like this show. Nancy and I don’t watch much TV, and we don’t even catch this show every week, but there is something inspiring about watching people take massive action in their lives and get results.

Personally I would train clients quite a bit different than what is shown, but that’s really not the point. These people are implementing a crucial strategy in their weight loss goals - they are being held accountable! Accountable to the trainers, to their team, to millions of viewers, and to themselves.

The lesson to be learned is this - trying to break destructive habits is really hard to do by yourself. A partner who will support you, listen to you and most importantly hold you accountable to your goals is crucial for your success. One of my favorite quotes is this - “If you could do it by yourself, you would have by now”.
